YEs it is. update your drone. Check the camera modes. There should be an 48mp icon

Get ready to be shamed.
Try clicking the camera mode, where you choose Photo, Videos, Panorama etc...

48mp is NOT photo mode, it has its own Mode

Ok, I have the DJI RC controller and the Fly app on that is not supporting 48MP photo mode. C'mon DJI, please provide also update for the controller so we can use the new functions!!

RC controller just got it's update and now Fly app supports 48MP photo mode.

It is still the same 12 MP sensor (same same but different...)

What it boils down to,its a 12mp sensor.

The Mini 3 gets it's "48MP" file by using quad bayer filter system. It's basically a filter that "divides" the pixels on the 12MP sensor in 4 separate pixels.

So its technically stitching photos together ?   I tried the 48mp option about 7 months ago and to me the photo quality looked bad and ever since then I just use RAW bracket mode 3 x and find the photos look amazing !

Are the 48 mp photos any better now ?
