Taken from the micro SD card in my Goggles 3 so in 1080p/60 and showing flight data. This is what you see when actually flying the Avata 2. I flew using the motion 3 controller with an ND8 on the drone lens and this was only my 4th flight that I have ever done in FPV. Totally unedited footage so apologies for the lack of music. This drone is so easy to fly with the MC3 and the most fun I have ever had with any of the 12 drones I have owned.

I tried the motion controller in sports mode and I swung around so much I nearly hot my spotter,  who wasnt paying attention as she was reading a book.   Words have been said.

Two random FPV flyers were at the field when I flew who kindly agreed to spot for me. Did three whole batteries in succession there on Friday morning. Great place to practice as a designated RC model aircraft/drone field and article 16 permits 30m distances from those not in your control in recreational areas plus being legally able to fly over them at 100'.

It's was one of the key deciding factors that made me pull the trigger on the Avata 2. If I could only legally fly in A3 I would have got the Mini 4 instead. I don't fly in residential, commercial or industrial areas but I do fly in recreational areas and would be somewhat annoyed if I could only fly in farm fields in the middle of nowhere. Thank God for artcle 16 which, despite still being relatively restricted does provide far more freedom than A3. You can't even fly over anyone under any circumstances with a sub 500g drone in A1 with an A2CofC - only sub 250g in A1 or sub 7.5kg under article 16 in manual flight only is permitted for over flight of non assemblies.

Yep,  thats one reason why I love the Mini 3 I can pretty much fly anywhere,  but if the idiot YT auditors carry on like they have I can see the CAA making things harder again.

Have you tried the head tracking yet? Are you going to get the "normal" controller as well? I didn't like the first motion controller with the DJI fpv at all  but it seems to have gotten much better in version 3...

They will ban sub 250g with a camera in all areas except recreational soon enough. What these auditors forget is that while the land they take off from is public the authority controlling that land may have imposed byelaws prohibiting drones taking off/landing. The CAA control the airspace and not the land. I'm Amazed how the police never check that first. TBH the police are generally clueless about drone laws.

I keep forgetting to try headtracking - will be doing that on my next flights. I was going to get the RC3 but I've taken so well to the MC3 that I've put getting the RC3 on ice for now.  

Nice field to fly in. Those trees make a nice figure eith to fly through.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happens,  and you're right even the chief drone police officer that they had out to talk to the auditor in one video didnt know the rules.

That genuinely doesn't surprise me. It's cringeworthy viewing. Some of these auditors probably googled their knowledge of the law and know more than the coppers they engage.

What a rush. I was told by a pilot that bought the first Avata that the experience was like flying a full size aircraft.

Another great flight AJ.    You already look like an old pro at flying FPV.

I've never flown a full sized aircraft so can't confirm that but it felt more like being a falcon than a 747 to me
