Relatively new user here, I can make a 2d map with normal wide angle images in Flight Hub 2

But when I choose a folder with thermal images, I get the error of not enough images and an info button which shows: "Only wide-angle photos supported for mapping"

So how can I make a 2d map using thermal images? What software can I use?

I can make it with mapsmadeeasy.com but was hoping for a different solution

I'm not sure. If you can share an example dataset with me through Google Drive or other file sharing service, I'll find you an answer.

I have the same issue!  I saw one video where they just glossed over making the map.. they provided no details on how it was done.

I have built 2D thermal maps in ESRI Drone 2 Map, Bentley iTwin Capture Modeler, Pix4D and many others with great results, you need plenty of overlap, more than you typically would with RGB capture. This tutorial may help you

Did anyone figure this out...having the same issue. Trying to map thermal in 2D and getting the same "less than 5 wide angle photos"...any help would be appreciated.

I got online with Tech support....currently DJI FlightHub2 only supports thermal reconstruct pirctures taken by thermal camera in real-time construction. Real-time reconstruction needs to be triggered in DJI Pilot. When the aircraft is in Mapping mode and DJI FlightHub 2 is connected, there is a cloud reconstruction option in Waypoint Route Checklist. Enable the option and photos captured will be automatically uploaded to DJI FlightHub 2 for reconstruction. The reconstruction processing is similar to the real-time mapping of DJI Terra. Photos will be uploaded for real-time reconstruction. The reconstruction result is synchronized to the map interface of the app and DJI FlightHub 2 in real time, and the images will be added in real time. After data collection is completed, data optimization will be performed to generate final result. It takes a certain amount of time to generate the final result, and the result image is slightly different from the real-time mapping image.
