Hi,

here is what I am experiencing and looks like anybody post about it yet.

1. Right before the fly noticed that band is set to 2.4 Ghz so changed to Auto. (can see the signal improvement)
2. Start a fly and after some short time like 20-30 sec loosing the connection for another ~10sec.
3. Once connected again, checking the band and is back to 2.4 Ghz so switching to Auto again. (until I noticed the range was quite small and signal was unstable)
4. After that I can 'stable' fly on Auto/Dual band mode. Of course once land and change the battery the process needs to be repeated...

What is going on?

Hi there,

Thank You for reaching out. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

1. Could you change 5.8 G frequency band and test environment first to rule out the possibility of environmental interference.

Note: You can also use the Auto mode for dual-band frequencies. In this mode, do not need to check the interference in the frequency band and channel by yourself. The system will automatically select the frequency band and channel with the least interference for you. This mode can help to check whether the weak signal only occurs in the 5.8 G frequency.

2. If a new test environment does no help, please refresh the firmware version of the drone and the remote controller, and if possible, conduct cross tests with different mobile devices.

Please test and let us know the result. We are looking forward to your response for further assistance. Thank You

Thanks for quick replay!

Looks like the environment is not the issue as I tried in various places and on two different phones.

Are you able to provide any instruction/link how to do the firmwares refresh?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Kindly follow the steps below to refresh the firmware:

1) Power on your drone and remote controller.  Open the DJI Fly app on your smartphone.  Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
2) The app will automatically check for firmware updates. You'll find an option to refresh the firmware on the same page.

*Note: If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Heh, ok. I thought there is a process for 'refresh'/reflash the firmwares. Is it means I am special and anybody else didn't have the same issue?

Hello!

I think I'm facing to the same issue. I had the DJI Mini 3 fly more combo (dron and remote controller), which worked perfectly in both bands (2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz), but recently I crashed the dron... I sent the crashed dron to DJI Official Support, and they gave me a new one... just the dron... so yesterday I paired the dron with the remote controller (something that has not been easy), but after a bit suffering... both are connected.. buuut the problem now is that the connection is weird... when I turn on the dron and the RC, they pair and unpair several times, it take too much to get paired (with the other dron the connection was really fast)... and apart from this, investigating a little bit, I saw that when dron and RC get paired, if I open the three-dots menu and try to change the transmission band, I have noticed that 2.4 band doesn't work... it only can work in 5.8 band... of course I have try the Auto band mode, but in that case it lose the connection, trying to get it back, but it simply can't.

I have try everything (or at least I thing so)... I have upgrade, downgrade and refresh firmware version in both dron and RC using DJI Assistant 2. I have paired unpaired a lot of times. I have clear cache in RC... but I'm afraid I can't find the solution

And I think this is not a problem about the place where I am. This is the same place where I have fly a lot of times and there is no new or special interference or obstacles.

The problem of this is that flying in just one band is a bit dangerous...
