Which Firmware bin-File should I use to update and whats the difference in each version?
OSMO RAW Firmware v1.1.0.10
2016-05-04
OSMO Pro Firmware v1.1.0.10
2016-04-21
OSMO Firmware v1.6.2.10
2016-03-24
I have the Osmo with x3 Camera
Other Questions:
The free FlexiMic is on its way to me. Is it better to buy a extension cable that I can attach it to the smartphone holder and it is further away from the buttons and the motor/fan?
Or should I buy the Rode VideoMic?
I want to use it as a holiday movie camera
Can I buy an other cabel for the charger to use it with my USB powerbank?
No, if it turns it on. As a default setting the fans turns off when you start to record. But I'm unsure if there is a heat sensor, so if if gets too hot, the fan starts. The FlexiMic easily picks up the fan/gimbal noise.
Hello!
Thanks for your inquiries!
Please visit our official Osmo webpage to learn more about the specification at http://www.dji.com/product/osmo/info#specs
You'll find that we would recommend below external Mic for a better video quality (the built-in Mic is just for your reference):
Sennheiser MKE400
Sony ECM DS70P
Rode VideoMic Pro
Rode VideoMicro
Mymyk Smartmyk
DED DV-889
In addition, the Osmo battery doesn't support any power bank. To prolong the duration of the battery, please find more useful accessories in this thread: http://forum.dji.com/thread-49176-1-1.html

DJI-Adela,maybe in the future with the FW upgrades, list the type of camera in the title of the bin file or in the main FW title (eg, x3, x5, x5r) this may stop confusion with beginners of what FW to use with what camera, more experienced uses have no problem knowing what Osmo FW ,Osmo Pro FW and Osmo Raw FW are.
Thanks for your suggestion!
I think we need to popularize the knowledge as below: DJI Osmo: X3+handle
Osmo Pro: X5+adaptor+handle
Osmo Raw: X5R+adaptor+handle
Technically, I think only the DJI Mic mount is OK.
Considering the actual situation, I may suggest you to look for more information about your wanted Rode VideoMicro. So as the filters, we need take the real situation into consideration, don't we?
About the filters, you may visit our online store for more details: http://store.dji.com/product/inspire-1-filter-kit
Yes that would make the experience that little bit easier for the new comer into Dji products, that's one thing you don't want, is them confused first up
