so i flew for a few minutes then deciede to land the i try to take of as soon as it took off and tried to fly it foward it dropped it wasnt high but it bounced on concrete and it chipped the camera frame it still look like everything works fine but it was very scary for it to just drop like that. what should i do? this is my first drone so i have no idea what to do. i did take it up in the air after strait up and came down once it was really low i moved foward and back and it seem to work fine.

Do you think this bubble mod would have prevented that damage?

It looks like it would have. My mod on the bubble goes below the camera, so that would be the point of impact. Short of hitting a rock that just happens to fit in the opening, I think it would have been protected.

Well I'd say as long as the gimbal passes it's power-on self test, then I think you got lucky and it's only cosmetic damage. Next step would be take it to a wide-open space, read the manual a couple more times, and try flying it again and see if everything is working okay. Since you're still new to drones, you're not going to be making any "spectacular" videos, so just leave the clear dome cover on for the first few flights.

Sorry for your crash, if you play back the flight record and overlay the RC sticks you can see what happened if it lowered by itself or if you lowered it.

I did and I dont even think it recorded the flight.

Wait for it.....waaaaaaait for it.....I say thermal winds crashed it hahahahaha

The flight logs record automatically to your device. You need to go to the DJI Go app and look at your flight records which are available by tapping the top left of the screen before you go into camera view.

Every flight gets recorded to the GO app if you were flying with your device so there should be a record.

Not if you sync your records.

The same thing happened to me.  I had just finished doing the firmware update. Went for a 4 min flight, landed. All seemed fine so i hit the auto take off button. The Mavic took off, hovered for 1 second then all motors stopped. Hit hard ground and the gimbal motor doesn,t work anymore. Its been sent off for repair.
I was recording at the time so I uploaded the video to DropBox for DJI to look at. I have a record of the flight on my phone (3 secs). Tried for about an hour to download the log off the Mavic with the Assistant software with no luck

You can use as many devices as you want, just sync the flight records after each flight on whatever device your using and it will be saved to the servers and synced to all your devices (as long as you use the same email account on each device).

I have a footage of similar case on my post. Fortunately, mine crashed into the grass so wasn't too bad.

Oh that really sucks. I am didn't update yet because of reasons like that...

thats what happen to mine just like that I was flying mine for about 12min then landed then decided to take of again and it just dropped.

No it only happened once. I don't know if I should contact dji will this cost me 1 out of 2 replacement from my dji care

Still, 2 cases with same outcome. Make sure to send on logs of that flight.

Interested in outcome..
