Alright guys,
I am having a tough time with my T40/RC Plus controller.
I am trying to import shapefiles or kml files as field boundaries. Some of the fields I will be spraying are quite complex, with tree lines, waterways, creaks, ditches, etc. I exported field boundaries out as kml files, and converted them to Shapefiles. I loaded the files into a ShapeFile folder inside a DJI folder on an usb drive. Once I plug the usb drive into the controller, an import menu for field boundaries pops up. I select import as fields, it processes. then says import successful... now when I go to the fields and look for any of these they are nowhere to be found, on the map or the drop down menu. I feel like I am following the correct workflow, and I have to be so close, but I must be missing something, but I cannot figure it out. any help appreciated, Thanks.

I have no idea, but could it be they require a supplementary file to describe their datum? kinda like TFW files with TIF?

You may know this but just in case- as djiuser_6UTaqcoSRGZm was surmising, "shapefiles" are not just a single file- there can be half a dozen or more files with the same filename and different extensions. The .shp is the shapefile itself, but at least 2 other companion files must be present. Here are the mandatory files that must be present in the same directory:

Shapefiles are made up of three mandatory components:
.shp: The main file that stores the feature geometry
.shx: The index file that stores the index of the feature geometry
.dbf: The dBASE table that stores the attribute information of features

There are others such as .prj, which holds spatial reference information, but they are optional.

See https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/ar ... file-extensions.htm for more info.

Apologies if you already knew this and have all 3 mandatory files present when importing.
