I've been flying my inspire 1 for awhile now and was looking to head to the beach soon.   My question, is it okay to take off on the sandy beach as I'm a bit worried about sand getting into the motors, etc?

Anyone done it before?

I have before in Florida, but I use a very large towel  and put 4 rocks on edges to avoid the sand.. I would not take off right off the sand

I have seen it done on the forum posts. I have the same concern with the fine sand. It may be better to use the Inspire case as your landing pad. Others have done that.

Sand and motors don't mix well. Be very careful.

Thanks for the tips.  I ended up taking off from a grassy area near the beach and then walked the rest of the way.

I have both landed and taken off from the beach in Ppacifica, Though I try to land on more "wet " or "packed " sand - NO PROBLEMS....yet.
