You can change in your app make sure your Aircraft is powered up, there was a problem with iPhone 7 but it was sorted with latest djigo4 update .

It looks like after toggling to 2.4G, you also need to select a channel number from the list below. After you select a channel number it will prompt you that wifi will restart. You may then need re-join the Spark's WiFi network via your mobile device settings.

When you are connected to the DJI Go 4 App with the remote and Spark all set to go... go into the  Wi-Fi settings tab in the App. Now tap on the 2.4 button and the tap on one of the channels (on the index bar). You will get a pop up confirming the change. Most of the time you may need to reconnect the iPhone to the RC / Spark network again but not always. I selected channel 7 in the screen shot below from channel 10.

I hope this helps you

Yes, it reverts back to 5.8 after powering off, I hope DJI releases a FW fix for this.

I have heard you can reset the remote and then relink the RC using 2.4. then it will say on 2.4... I have not tried this yet

Thanks, I will try after I get the Spark back from DSJ. It was processing the data analysis as it had been power cut off itself and dropped on the ground during palm take off and gesture control on Saturday.

Hi !
I posted a solution elsewhere, its an awful workaround but it DOES work.
You neet an USB OTG connection cable as well ($5 and upwards).

-1- connect to remote via Wifi, you'llbe on 5.8G
-2- set it to 2.4G, suitable channel.
-3- as sooun as you clicked, switch off your Smartphone WiFi
-4- connect vie USB OTG cable and enjoy better performance in 2.4G

Hope that helps, silly method but always works for me.

But does that setting "stick" after you turn the Spark off and on again ?

does 2.4Ghz give better results then 5Ghz?
I find that 5Ghz sometimes looses connection

2.4GHz gives you a bit more range in EU, Video might be a bit more laggy, since the bandwith is lower compared to 5.8GHz.
But you have to check for interferences, other 2.4GHz Wifi, Microwaves and BT might disturb your signal.

Havnt really checked if the settings will stick, you just have to try it out ...
