Please enlightent me !! at the same spot at NFZ, why phantom 3 cant take off I understand. But how could my phantom 4 could take off and fly like  NFZ never existed ?

even the GEO disabled on both but only phantom could FLY. Also I noticed that DJO GO 4 cant detect firmware verison of phantom 4

     You may have a firmware conflict.  Are you up-to-date with all your firmware?

Oh yeah, I checked with DJI GO 4 on IOS it showed 01.02.0062. but on android it did not show anything lol

Aloha fansd,

     There you have it.  You have a firmware conflict.  You will keep that conflict until you reconcile your firmware.  Now you know why the P3 is grounded but the P4 flies with impunity.

     The new P4 firmware update fixes the NFZ problem.  Looks like in your case it will ground your P4.

     You may now consider yourself enlightened.

The latest firmware contains lots of goodies for the P4, first and foremost has to be the Camera Horizon fix, then there are a number of additional intelligent flight modes, additional and more accurate landing options. And finally there seems to be head tracking support for the Goggles. There's not much not to like about the new firmware. Also improved RC firmware (No more roll backs to V1.6, time will tell ?).

And fly it did this afternoon, horizon was nice and straight, hovers rock solid, active track, tripod and Terrain follow tested out. Looked to be steady in flight to me along a straight course in P-Mode and Sport Mode. A bit of a Gimbal tilt over in higher wind conditions followed by a short loss of video transmission (2-3 seconds). And that was it, so one very happy Bunny here.

One 'You are in class D airspace, fly with caution' warning. Which didn't prohibit anything (Airport about 12 miles to North, but busy helicopter base, presumably with long approach paths).

Aloha fansd,

     Have you tried to fly from an area that is not in a NFZ?  Take both your birds there and give it a test.

yes I did at the beginning, then I was surprised that my 4 could FLY in NFZ lol

Aloha fansd,

     OK, so now you should understand that NFZs are set up for a reason and you cannot fly in them without permission.  But, you can always go outside of the NFZ and fly there.  Hope this helps!

thks.After deleting DJO GO 4 and reinstalling, the software now could detect my phantom 4 firmware is 1.2.0604. Turning GEO, both birds are grounded but I still dont know how come only phantom 4 could take off when GEO in turned off ?

Aloha fansd,

     The DJI GO 4 app allows you to disable GEO or at least used to.  The P3 uses DJI GO and does not have the same level of complexity.  The newer firmware and apps may force GEO limitations in specific, more secure airspace.
