Hi I have not updated . I am stilll using my 4.0 and flying with an iPad Air 2
Seam like the forums I've read kinda sorta suggest continued use of my 4.0
Huuum what to do ?  If it isn't broken don't fix it

If you do update firmware and you dont update the app your flight will be limited to 30m and 50m.

Well the update may be necessary for those who have issue(s) or want Mavic features. For me, P4 is 99% perfect except for the altitude reading that is bad and hoping that the new firmware would fix it(and it does).

That's interesting now, something for me to check next time I'm out. I'd always believed that was down to the limitations of the barometer and not being calibrated etc.

Edit:- or is that the VPS reading you're refering to, in which case I agree fully :-)

I just tested terrain follow and it worked but it said I was 20 feet off the ground and i was like 6 feet off the ground.

Is that not the height in relation to the home point altitude ?
