Hi, I was out and had not used the mavic since march.
Just got back today and upgraded the firmware to latest and did factory reset too.

But when I click - AUTO GIMBAL CALIBRATION from the phone app, the gimbal doesn't calibrate or move.

Im inside home and it shows magnetic interference and compass error, as countries have changed, may be since my last use.

But why would the gimbal not move with my key stroke too ?
ike up down nothing.

While the gimbal is fine and Im able to move it with my fingers freely.

What to be checked ?

I was about to sell it today and get a P4P, but if this doesnt solve, wont be able to sell it too.

When you first turn the Mavic on, do you see the gimbal do its initial movement?
You have removed the gimbal clamp?

NO MOVEMENT.
YES BOTH GIMABL COVER AND LOCK ARE REMOVED

is there a website or page showing gimbal all elements and wiring ?

I suspect the back is missing one small black area.
But not sure.
If I can see factory thing, I can tell if its there or not

are you sure that area is missing? and if so, why? check if the gimbal plate is on top of that plastic thing, it can happen.
but your real problem is probably a broken gimbal ribbon cable.

Any clear picture to show that ?

Can you share your that area pic ?
Does that area carry a cable ?

That's probably just because your Mavic is near a source source magnetic interference (e.g.,  some metal) and it can happen when the Mavic is powered on with the legs still folded.

I doubt that it's missing. More likely the vibration dampening plate has been dislocated and is above / covering the front tab. If that's the case then the video below should help you to resolve this.

That L is broken, I can see.
Its missing, means its off.

May be in my last crash, it was gone.

I've not done it myself but I've heard that it's a fairly easy and very inexpensive repair if it's something you're comfortable doing it yourself, and I believe there are YouTube videos that can help. The part can be purchased off eBay and probably from other sources that have access to DJI parts.

On the other hand, if it isn't something you feel qualified to do yourself then you'll need to pay either DJI or a drone repair shop to do it for you.

and again, i am pretty sure your gimbal ribbon cable is also broken.

it is difficult to see. but it controls the movement of the gimbal. if it is broken, your gimbal won't move at all (camera still working).

Ok camera doesnt work too.
I mean its black.
No display to my DJI App.

Is there a store in Newyork, who can fix this thing on spot ?

Im flying to Newyork from India next month.
Can I get it fixed immediately at NYC some store or DJI Store can install it for me ?

I have had that problem with 2 of them now. Both from the same company off of Amazon. I sent the first back within weeks with the same issue. I forgot to put the SD card back in the one I sent back. They sent me a new one and I used it for months. For some reason I took the SD card out and installed the other SD card that was in the first drone that I sent back. It worked fine most of the day and all of sudden it started doing that same thing on this new drone. Light bulb kicked in for me. I ejected that SD card and immediate the picture got clear and I had control of the gimbal. I installed a new SD card and bam ! All works fine now ! What a relief hope this helps.

I always had a good flight with mavic 2 and also a safe landing and no accidents. I updated mavic 2 by connecting to DJI Assistant 2. The battery ran out in the middle of the update. No matter how much I try again, the update is not more than 58%.

While the gimbal is fine and Im able to move it with my fingers freely.

What to be checked ?

I typed the factory once
I emptied the dji go 4 cache, the update is not available, the internet speed is also good
