Without extra accessories...

It just barely fits, but doesn't seem to fit well.  I like using the PLUS size iPhone and if I had some extra cash would checkout the googles...

We can read , I bought something similar to what you recommended at its much better than trying to cram the iPad mini into the arms and much more comfortable..

You need a proper mount dude. Lot easier and does not restrict hand movements.
