New flyer and having trouble locating the option to fly with ATTI mode only. Currently have DJI Go 4 version 4.1.4 for Android and my Mavic Pro/controller firmware version 1.03.0900. Is GPS/ATTI mode an automatic determination made internally to the Mavic or is there a user option? I currently want to practice inside my home, but live within a NFZ and looking for options to practice inside my home.
There is no ATTI mode that you can select on the Mavic. If the Mavic goes into ATTI mode then you will need to manually fly the aircraft because you have no GPS. It means that it will hold altitude but nothing else. Unless you are an experienced drone flyer, you could easily come undone in ATTI mode.
It's a pity no Atti switch, but Mavic Atti mode is automatic so you can't practice, buy a $50 drone and you can practice on that, at least your not risking your $1000 drone,
The Mavic Pro's ATTI mode can not be changed manually. And I should say, change to ATTI mode would not help to fly in NFZ coz the drone still has the GPS signal worked.
And which remote would that be?
You must have big tin cans where you live.
(I wonder whether your women have huge ... feet?)
BTW, a GPS signal inside a house or apartment is very unlikely.
You could try to create an ATTI mode condition in your home.
Simply darken the room you want to fly the Mavic in to a maximum.
But flying in ATTI mode is a bitch.
OPTI mode is easier.
Updated information: Currently getting 12/14 sats on my GPS inside my home (upstairs and basement levels) while I am getting 16/17 outside my home. I have tried using the Mavic in WIFI mode with my phone GPS location turned off and I have also tried it in RC mode with my phone GPS location turned off and still the same result... NFZ warning.
Is their an option to change to OPTI or is this also an internal automatic setting determined by the Mavic?
Anyone else live in a NFZ having the same issues? If so, did you overcome them and if so... how.
