I know that we now have to activate online when ever a new firmware/update comes out.

I will be going offline for about 5 days with little to No phone or 3G/4g signal.

Will I be able to launch and fly a P4P?

We will be doing surveys using all different apps but can I at least lunch with DJi Go 4 / DJi GS Pro apps if I have no signal?

I will also have to cache / download map backgrounds too.

I think it best to activate before you, I do think you need to activate or you will be limited to 50ft above ground.

Just make sure that you've logged into your account on DJI Go 4 when you upgrade (I was prompted to by DJI Go 4~) and all should be good to go after that. I usually fly in wifi free areas and no cell device without problems.

Test it out, switch your display device to airplane mode to emulate no wifi nor cell data, and try a flight.

Do like a preflight check before you go to make sure your controls and settings are good. Dont wanna get there and you have issues.

Yes when you update your firmware you must connect to the internet.

Generally, the DJI GO required to log in your DJI account for the first time and do not log out manually. There is no need to connect Internet every time. And I also suggest to do a fully pre-flight check to ensure the performance.
