I've not yet bought my Mavic, but was wondering how people go with the Mavic controller and 'bulky' iphone 5 cases?

I'm a tradie and use my phone for work and for the DJI app... I have it in a 'tradie case' which is quite bulky. Will i have to remove the phone from the case to use it with the Mavic controller or should it still fit ok?

Likely won't fit.  Even the iPhone 6s with the stock Apple leather case is a "force fit".

Mavic Pro's RC fits a mobile device within 6.5-8.5mm for thickness and 160mm for length.

Id bet you could modify the phone holder with some silicon tubing so it would not effect warranty. i thought I may of had to with the p4p phone holder but i was able to leave it and it worked fine. its Porbably one of those get it and try it deals.
