I am running Windows 10, using DJI Assistant 2 v1.1.2

To clarify, I mean the Windows 10 app - will DJI Assistant 2 update to v1.1.3 (or whatever the next version is) all by itself or do I have to go back to the DJI website from time to time to make sure I have the most recent version?

Nope, it won't update itself automatically.

One followup question - will Assistant 2 tell me when an update is available?  If not, how often do you suggest checking the DJI site to see if there is a newer version?

There you go DJI, this is a good point actually.  
Many times I see involve DJI admin asking if the users Assistant 2 is up to date, so why don't you have it advise people when an update is available?  Think it might help solve a few of your issues.

I concur, there should be a mechanism to communicate software, firmware and app updates to all.  This could be done via email or even the appropriate Forum.

They could make for an update check when you open the app on W10.

Agreed, many software off to automatically look for updates (every time you login, once a week or other)

The Assistant 2 won't tell you when an update is available, for the update, please pay close attention to DJI official website, sorry to say that we do not have a time frame.

Thank you for your suggestion, we'll forward it to our engineers, hope they can take it into consideration. Personally speaking, I think this is a very good point.

Anyone else having issues using Assistant to access logs and black box data?  I can update the firmware using my Mac, but that is it.

It's likely been asked before...but is there a way to launch the update from within the app itself?  LIke a "check for updates" option?  We're up to 1.2.4 now and I want to update my version...I guess I have to go to the site and download it again?  Strange.

Hi, unfortunately, we don't have an option to check if you're still running the latest DJI Assitant 2 version or update the version if ever that we have an update to the application, however, you can delete the app and get the new version to our website if ever that we released a new version of DJI Assistant 2.
