Well, if the sensor and camera are really upgraded that might sound as 'the one'

Looks like a variation of the scimitar they use on new turbo-props. That should theoretically make them more efficient by decreasing wave drag at the prop tips... although I don't think the Mavic with a prop tip speed of Mach .31 has that problem...

Of course it's fake The packaging is a straight copy of the existing one barring the upside down handle and a few minor tweaks.  The 'plutomium' one has been done to show how simple it is to copy.

It would be cool if the new props do fit the old Mavic - as other than the new ESCs, that seems to be the only real difference (rumored).  Unfortunately, with our luck, the new props will probably require the new ESCs.  Interesting that there are no rumors about the camera or gimbal.

The motors look different also. They taper. The bottom of the motor housing is wider than the top.

I think that the blades are definitely something new.....but I don't think this Mavic Platinum is it.

I think that when we see Mavic 2.......it will be visually different as it was the first iteration of the folding drone style and I am pretty sure that DJI will have major changes for that. They WILL want us to have a reason to buy it and one of those reasons (IMO of course) would be a vastly better gimbal/camera combo which I don't see on that box.

Yes, the Phantom 4 Pro is more or less visually identical to the P4 but that is the 4th iteration of a pretty perfected design already (non-folding etc)

Quieter? - don't care. Anyone who is flying a drone close enough for it to be a noise nuisance is doing it wrong.
3-4 minutes flight time more? - don't care, not enough to warrant an upgrade for me.
4k60? again, don't care. Not enough of an upgrade.

And, lets talk about that box. Yes. DJI make mistakes......but most certainly not with presenting their goods. Having worked for YEARS in an electrical retailer in the past, even with really cheap and badly packaged goods....they never put something on a box that would make it difficult to stand a pile of them on display. The handle being on the bottom? No. DJI want you to walk out a shop carrying your spanky new purchase on show..............not upside down

Excited to see what this prop is about and IMO, that is the only solid thing we have seen yet. I suspect that this has fuelled a bit of a photoshop frenzy.

If it's fake, then why they post updates like this? I've read this website's post on spark leaked post.

I am not saying the prop is fake......absolutely not. I just think that if they released a drone with a new colour and different props.....they would be laughed out of town

I have no doubt that something is incoming, would love it to be a NEW Mavic..........but I hope that box is not it.

Imagine the new hypothetical BMW M3 comes out, you know.....the one that everyone has been crying out for because the old one had unbearable economy and loads of other issues..........and when it does, it has lighter wheels for better economy and a new paint colour, to fix the issues. People would lose it.

There has to be more to it than that and that image of the box does not hint at anything new apart from different props

I hope DJI are trolling us with that box.
