That's a bit of a lackluster effort.  It does look pretty cool though.

What good is that when you just brick our crafts with defect firmware as soon we put them on the net?

I can’t find it on the DJI store page, how much is it and can you buy the skin separately for those of us who already have the P4P?

I'm curious about the newly added features of the Spark that will be presented on IFA 2017 in Berlin?

Wondering if this would be more resistant to stress cracks.  A plastic additive, or just black dye.

rather fix bugs in firmwares of Mavic and Phantom as these have serious issues people are reporting. You could also make your dji go app working.

It isn't a skin, it is a totally new shell and components for the aircraft and its accessories.

Is this just a way of selling the P4P before they announce the P5 next month (or sometime soon).

Love the colour though but will wait for the P5.

$200 bucks more cause it's black? No thank you.....

Hmm, the same old milk on a new colored bottle !!!   Guess why I'm not really surprised.

Would DJI be willing to trade in or buy back my Phantom 4 Pro for the Obsidian? I like the more professional look in the Obsidian than the current Phantom 4 Pro.

Careful.... they have been quick on the ban button.  These really are good products, and the tech really is leading edge

Looks nice, but the difference is the shell and an upgraded gimbal.   Not really "groundbreaking" stuff.  Is it really that big of a deal?  I wonder if it's easier to see from further away?

I agree with KEDDK.   The P4P series gimbal is a train wreck.  Please offer an upgrade to the new system.

Calibrating the Compass seems to put a lot of stress on the gimble motors with my p4p+, do you or have you had the same problem?  

DJI! You need to fix the friggin firmware and not tell people that their drone fell out of the sky because of user error. My P4 flew just fine until the firmware update and then it started to wobble in the air, disconnect less than half a mile away, and then fall out of the sky. It's crappy too that you also charge me $220 even though it wasn't my fault.

I love the new P4Pro obsidian colour but I really don't understand the description of the gimbal being anti-fingerprint. The existing gimbal doesn't have a problem with fingerprints. Can you tell me if it really is a totally newly designed gimbal that will eliminate all the current gimbal problems.

Figures, I just get the white...and now they sell a color I'd really prefer...that's my luck

I hate to say it, as I am a big fan of DJI, But I am starting to see a lot of Apple like behavior from DJI.  Incremental improvements remind me of Apple and the iPhones. iPhone 6 then 6 months later you get a iPhone 6s.  The only difference is that it now comes in Black.....lol

Wouldn't black "top" cause some overheat (or not help in that matter) when flying under direct sun ? (edit : that's the reason most full size aircrafts are white...)

Good point, for sure don't look like solar-cells on top, and had they put in something to take advantage of the heat it would have been written in large.
Would have been a smart way to add a little flying time. ;-)

maybe now DJI can get back to focusing on fixing firmware

I don't think there is a difference between the P4Pro white and black in both function and price.  Color only.

I'm not sure about the price difference. As far as the color goes, I've always liked black colored quads but for some reason that I can't explain,to me the phantom 4 just doesn't look good black?

Not just compass, but worst on IMU calibration.

It looks so much more professional, and will not ger dirty as easily as the regular version. And besides all that, it's really cool. I think DJI is testing their market about design, launching a version that has the same technical features.

Me too... my P4P still has the factory fresh smell... I'd much rather have the obsidian as far as looks go.
