So Trackimo has realized they have a new market for their GPS trackers, drone users. While it is nice they that added drones to their product's application it is not cool that they do it by implying their product Prevents Fly Aways. While I realize it is marketing I have an issue when comanies are misleading or lie when advertizing their products. I sent them an email explianing that their statement is not true and they lose some credibitly by making a statement like that. We'll if they change their webpage, but I doubt they will. Maybe this new found market is why they raised thier price to $140. When I bought mine it was only $99.  It is also funny that the 5% cost number they quote applys to the high end Inspire type drones ($2999) and not the $300 ~ $1300 ones most people are buying. Shame on you Trackimo.

I have seen that as well. Also some more info about Trackimo. My Trackimo stopped taking a charge last week. The light flashes on the device like it is charging but it does not charge and is now dead. I contacted them and the 1st response was quick and saying take out the battery and make sure the contacts are ok. I messaged them back after i did this again and 4 days later still have not heard anything. My Trackimo is 2 months old and this would have been the 4th time it would had been charged. Ill keep these forums updated on this issue if anyone wishes.

Not even DJI can prevent flyaways, let alone a GPS Tracking Device Company..

Well, being as people mislead about what constitutes a flyaway - this truth in advertising thing is going to be tough to enforce. Plus, DJI shows a guy with a gal in his arms in one of the pics.....I always wondered where they got that shot from? It looks like a stock photo from a viagra shoot. I wonder if I will have a woman in my arms if I buy a Phantom?
I'd say the Trackimo protects to an extent against foolishness, bad piloting and also GPS and other errors. But that may not make good ad copy.

Trackimo could claim that their units protects against losing your Phantom for less than 1% of the cost per month. That's cheap.....

I got a message today from Trackimo. They apologized for being misleading and they actually changed the webpage. It now says "Helping with Drone Fly Always".  They also stated that they take their online image very seriously and never meant to mislead anyone.  

My Trackimo is still working great.

So I got another message from the Trackimo people today. They said they would like to make amends as a result of their mistaken over stated claim about preventing fly aways. Do you know how much it weigh and it's size? What would be a good place to position it on the Phantom without effecting it's balance? Under the battery compartment in the back?

My Trackimo weighs 34g. The water resistant cover weighs another 10g but I never fly with that. I have flown with the Trackimo attached underneath the battery and attached one of the legs. It works in both places.

Thanks Jato. I ordered the battey and charger. My battery will not charge and still waiting on suport so this will be perfect

Yeah I ordered one also as I figured a spare battery would be nice and I ever went to fly and my main battery was dead or close to it. I was not happy about the shipping charge, seems rather high.

I hope you get a response for them soon and get the issue resolved. I also hope it is just the battery and not the unit itself. The guy who sent me the emails responded very quickly, with one being today Easter Sunday.

i am mostly happy with my trackimo.  it's not as precise as i would like but it gives a close target to find it.
