2.4 vs 5.8-questions

Hi all
I tried to search this, but the search engine is a little bit too particular. I have been getting a "high wireless interference – fly with caution" everywhere I go to fly. I am also experiencing screen break up on my new crystal sky monitor.
So today I switched from 2.4 to 5.8 and the warning screens immediately disappeared. I flew up to 400 feet and spun the bird around rapidly, but I had no screen break ups.
So I would like to fly at 5.8… Is this a reduced distance frequency? Do I have anything to worry about using this over 2.4? Any and all opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nope. In US, use us 5.8 auto and enjoy!

Here in UK things are a bit different....

All things being equal, 2.4 ghz is by nature a better signal for distance.  But that's exactly why it's the primary wifi frequency in the US.  It's also why most of the DJI ACs use 2.4 over 5.8.  But if you're in an area with lots of 2.4 wifi interference, it would make sense to switch to 5.8 ghz.  You could get better range because it has less interference to fight through.

I have been having the same issue. I'm set to auto but it is starting with 2.4 with the warning, then I just switch to 5.8 and I have no issues and warning is gone.

when in the metropolitan area  I use Auto 5.8 , when I get out into the rural areas the 2.5 works well for me as no wifi at all in the area. In the city I have gone 1600 feet with excellent link or signal strength using  5.8 GHz. Fly on Fly safe

I would recommend you to use 5.8G in urban areas when there are strong interference.
