I've just purchased a Mavic Pro, and looking at it's potential for commercial use for real estate photography. Im located in Canada, and laws here require drones >1KG be opterated with a license for commercial work. The Mavic is <1KG, would i need a license?

There is no "license" in Canada to get. For ANY commercial work you need to apply for an SFOC.
