Can you please urgently  inform your engineers to fix this?
Since last update dji go app (.16) the image transmission is really worthless on my ipad 4.
Everthing is updated with the last updates and firmware. never had this before only since last dji go 4 app update.i read also on the forum other posts ,of droners with the same problem.

Most bad image transmission i am getting when i do the poi option,

But also when i fly normal. shooting 2.7k in open space 2.4ghz
Ofcourse footage on sd is ok , but its really not good looking at screen when flying

Mine is doing it too.

Dji dji dji ,sos sos  come out please ?many complaints regarding image transmission. We all a looking forward to new dji go update.18 with this being fixed. It looks like after every update one issue is solved and another one pops up. Please inform your engineers

Wow, that looks awful.  I always delay updates until things like this STOP being reported

Yeah me to but sometimes you have to keep on going with updates or fix other issues. But this update is really a bummer. I think dji is too busy fixing issues with the spark but forgets there are also phantom and mavic users. This .16 update was more something for the spark but maybe generated issues for the other series. Anyway dji dji please fix this and let engineers starting to work on this immediately. Thanks

Our engineers have been aware of the issue in IOS 11.1 and 11.2. They are working on this and will fix it soon. Thanks for your understanding.

Ok dji susan. Thanks for answer. Hope indeed this will be solved soon. At least i know that its not caused by my equipment, but indeed some software problem

Update: The latest IOS V4.1.17 has been released, please update and check whether the issue remains. I'll appreciate your feedback.

Yes still not solved ,still bad transmission and received in the beginning also a new message
Cpu overloaded.
Please inform your engineers to fix this ,with sorry to say new app update.
Never had this before the .16 and .17 update, so there must be something wrong with the app going to together with the latest ios update

Just to mention  and for your info ,the ipad is not hot , as some mentionned before that it could have to do with ipad heating up. But thats definately not the cause. I also connect the iphone plus to the remote , its also has the image transmission issue. Dji please please could you let the engineers recheck if the might have missed something in the last update? Still might ge some files or codec missing between dji go app and ios11.1

check if there are other Apps running (best not...), if video caching is on, and in case turn it off.

Yes all apps are closed, airplane mode and videocache off. Still disruption on screen. Really has got to do with the app update combined with the latest ios.hope dji can fix this

Sometimes i think wth the new app update in one hand they fix the problems with the mavic/spark and in the other hand causing issues with for example the phantom series. I do hope dji is looking into the transmission trouble the phantom has with the new .17 app

Hi. The iPad 4 has an A6X CPU, and I've found that anything less than the A8X can't handle the video decoding demands of GO 4. Video breaks up (even though there's signal to the craft), and the iPad CPU heats up when it's really pushed.

But you said that it was OK before 4.1.16 and your iPad isn't heating up. Hmm... OK. Well, you could try another app, if you had access to one, to see if this is a problem across the board. I have Litchi also, so I'lll try that out on the weekend and report back.

Hopefully we will get an answer from one of the moderators or engineers that they have also noticed that there is still bad image transmission with the new .17 go app update. Spent and wasted a lot of time testing , reloading etc etc. Hope there is a definate sollution soon

I hope so! So far I have NOT updated the iOS on the iPad 5 I use only for the P4P, and I]ll wait until -and I- the problem is solved...

Does the issue appear in every place? Please try to un-install the APP, delete all related files and re-install again. Also, please check the HD icon of APP when the issue occurs again and About page of your iPad, then send us the screenshots, we'd like to double check. Thanks for cooperation.

I reinstalled the app and installed again .i have been testing at several places but it sometimes occurs ,especially when i am in poi mode ,than it happens. Also when i switch to the map with my c2 button and back to the camera view , the ipad screen also has some distortion and green screen , which disappears again ,but its really annoying. The hd sign is above on in the screen

I'm running GO4 4.0.9 on my mini 2 without any issues.

With me it started with the 4.1.16 , so there must be something wrong with the app. You always hope on improvements when dji opens up a new update , but in this case it got worse

So I originally thought I was having an antenna problem while using my iPad mini 4, video was VERY jerky also. I'm glad to see this post, thanks for sharing. I have done an update and the problem seems to have stopped.

Try the poi mode and let the drone circle and have a look at the ipad while making a video and check if there is still some disruption or green slag

.17 is running flawlessly on my iPad Mini 4. Both Mavic and P4P. Running iOS 11.1.1

Hello Susan,

Here I attach the video.
I think transmission between Aircraft and RC is stable, but I don't Know about  between RC and DJI GO4 App. Because I see the HD signal meter is in good condition.

Then I try manual selecting chanel transmission and lowering Transmission Quality to 4Mbps and it works fine. And unstable video feed is start happened when I set Transmission Quality above 6 Mbps or Auto.
Maybe it help your team to do analysis.

Thats strange .i cannot enter the custom button in the channel mode chapter. Its on automatic so i cannot change the channel manually. Is this because i am in the european region?so i cannot change the mbps.
But i am getting exactly the same lag as video yosephat ( once again especially when i am shoting in poi mode) but also sometimes when i am in normal flying mode. Dji please let your engineers check issue again and solve this in the next 4app update

I'm running GO4 4.0.9 on my mini 2 without any issues.

The Mini 2 has the A7 chipset and is updateable up to iOS 11.1 (as far as I know), the iPad 4 has the A6X chipset and the latest iOS it could update to was 10.3.3 (from the original iOS 6.1....) because of hardware limitations.

I'm in EU too and can't change the image transmission rate. I understand there is probably some EU rule causing the channel mode to be blocked but it would have been good if at least the image transmission rate could have been changed..

I read somewhere though , that if you change the iphone or tablet to different language and region( english us) than you will be able to push the custom button. I havnt tested this , and i dont know if it make any difference , but one thing is for sure that all of your iphone will not be in your own country language but all in english
