I had this problem last flight, a couple of days before. iPad was running iOS 10.latest.
The iPad was very hot in a not-so-hot day.
I'm pretty familiar with the iPad performance, since I'm a developer.
Today I updated to iPad's OS to iOS 11 beta current version to check if anything changed and no joy.
Same message with serious video feedback issues.

Just a quick thought:
Today the weather was hot.
I mean, I live in Brazil, so when I say hot is MELTING hot.
The iPad even shut down during the fly, showing a termother with an error to wait the device cool down.
Never happened before, even in hotter weather than today.
This issue is defenetly bad coding from DJI.
It's clearly overheating the iPad Mini 4 A8 processor, probably because they added new code to fit A10's iPhone 7 processor.

DJI must fix it.

my devise is a sony z3 - on some occassions whilst flying it becomes very hot, only since my last firmware upgrade. Only time it gets hot is during some flights so must be something to do with dji. But why sometimes and not other times - this is confusing to me. sorry i cant help except to share that i sometimes experiance similar over heating.

Many, including myself, have had the iPad mini 4 get the word errors "CPU overload" and "CPU Overheating" there are cooling pads out there. Some have even used the gel blocks from their freezer.

This is a software issue

Please make sure only DJI GO is running when the message pops up. It is recommended to prevent the mobile device from direct sunlight  with a sunshade or a monitor hood to improve the experience.
