Hi all, hoping someone may be able to help me.

My P4's gimbal is slightly off centre and faces to the left, resulting in some dodgy looking footage. I've tried callibrating the IMU and Gimbal but to no avail. My firmware is all up-to-date as well.

Any suggestions welcome?!

Thanks

Sounds like the camera needs some adjustment.

There is a grub screw that can be loosened, then straighten the camera, and tighten it back down.

Try gently pushing it all the way to the right as it will go, then turn loose.

With emphasis on the gently.

Just talk softly and give it a firm but soft nudge...

Use gimbal adjustment options for roll and set your horizon correctly

Hi. Sometimes heavy bumps in transit will cause the gimbal rotor to slip. I understand there's a small rubber grommet which is supposed to prevent this happening.

As suggested above, try gently turning the gimbal all the way in the other direction a few times. Then tilt it back on its rear legs and do a gimbal calibration - there's an old thread up here somewhere which includes photos of this.

Where is that screw on the P4, mine does the same thing.

That's a more difficult fix, where your P4 gimbal is mostly situated within the bottom shell.

I am not sure you can do this adjustment, without taking the drones shell apart.
Nor am I positive this screw is at your adjustment convenience.

I am not P4 savvy.

I wish all DJI drone problems were this easy to repair.

Hopefully this method of doing a 90* drone, gimbal calibration works here.

Yeah, so do I RHP. But a 90 degree fault is more than a little out of whack... ;-)  But if it's only a little out of line, then this method was reported in those other threads as successful.

No, I didn't mean that, not the camera/gimbal being at 90* fault.
Talking about tipping the drone back on it's rear arms, and calibrating the gimbal.
Probably more like 110* of tilt.

Fingers are crossed in hopes it works, in this case and for all other drones with crooked gimbal. ;-)

Try to GENTLY push the gimbal to the right for several times when the drone is powered off, then power on the drone, calibrate the gimbal, see if it helps.

When did this start? Did anything happen before, like hard landing or crash? Try what I suggested in the post 13#,  please keep me posted, thanks.

It has done it since day 1 but never really worried about it since I do not use it professionally.  Thanks for asking.  It is just a little annoying. No hard landing or crash.

I did that a long time ago but it did not help.  Thanks

Thanks DJI Diana, that seems to have done the trick, hopefully it will continue to stay straight.

Put the drone like this( see the picture), then calibrate the gimbal, see if it helps. If it persists, please provide a video or some screenshots of this issue for better assistance, thanks. 1.png
