So I just bought the new DJI focus handwheel 2 for my X5 osmo and to my surprise there was no Communication cable included.   

"Since DJI Focus Handwheel 2 can work with Inspire 2 and Osmo Pro/RAW, customer have different choice.
If customers purchase DJI Focus Handwheel 2 for Inspire 2, the Communication Cable is not essential, that is the reason why the Communication Cable need to be purchased separately.

So DJI Mindy answered my question

We are sorry for the inconvenience, thanks Lepi for posting my previous explanation for this issue.
We also have made it clear in our purchasing page: when used with the OSMO Pro/RAW, the Osmo Pro/RAW - Handwheel 2 Communication Cable is required.
