I apologize for the narrow target audience of this, but anyone on here from UAE flying Phanoms or similar?

Hi, I live in Dubai, and have been flying phantoms for over a year and no issues. Times are changing and they are looking at implementing some laws, and currently in Abu Dhabi you are not allowed to buy a drone until this is finalized, but in Dubai currently no restrictions.

This all started because a drone was flown into the flight path at Dubai airport recently.

I am waiting for the guidance to be published and I know sales are banned right now, but assume there's no issues actually owning and flying one?
Hoping to have a Phantom 3 sent in, hopefully there'll be no issues at customs!

You should not have any issues, and know of many others that have brought them in, and all have been in proper flight cases. No news yet on guidance, so will wait and see, but you can still buy Drones in Dubai, not a problem at the moment.
