I have searched the forum for previous similar topic but couldn't find anything. I know it could be basic question but would like to smooth things down during tricky landings.
I have been flying the Mavic for some time now and it is taking more time than I would ideally like to return the drone and land manually. I usually fly without VLS often at night and tend to fly high so I rarely maintain eye contact with the drone. I usually use the bottom left maps/compass to return home once battery gets around 45%, my altitude would be around 115m and I would be far away horizontally. However I am finding it hard to quickly and precisely reach a point where the drone would be exactly over me (without having to search for it in the sky for 3 minutes as I also turn off led). I do zomm in in the map and the home point and the drone position matches, however when I initiate the decent(from 100m+) I almost always have to re adjust the position of the drone multiple time while slowing down or stopping the decent. I was forced to use RTH twice and the drone performed great, but I prefer to keep full control and avoid RTH beeps.
