My PH3 Advanced is updated with all firmware and flies well. The DJI ap is also the latest. But, I don’t use the device much. On a recent session with it, while flying from the screen, the ap crashed. I then had to reopen the ap, and resumed my missions after the  video feed resumed back to the mini iPas. I always faced the PH3 while in flight, so the antennas were pointed at the uav. There were no problems with battery and nothing else appeared to be defective. I’d be grateful for any suggestions on how to prevent these black outs. If I was flying in a tight spot, eg thru a wooded area, then an ap crash could be a disaster

Hello Colobus, does the issue appear recently? What's the current version of APP and mobile OS? Please try to uninstall the APP, delete all related files and reinstall to see whether it helps.
