Install of the firmware was normal, no issues. Did not get to fly yet, but went to put it all away and when trying to put it into travel mode the way I always have ( power up RC, then I1, wait about 5 seconds then toggle the transform rocker 4 times) the light will go blue like it is supposed to... but does nothing. And the really odd thing is I can just rock the transform switch up once, and it will put the landing gear up.... while doing nothing. No motors turning or anything. it will go all the way up.
Am I missing something? Ill work on a video if anyone needs to see what I am describing.

Had the same problem!!!  NO CARPET.. Put a piece of paper underneath the sensors OR put it on a plain slick surface and try again

I know not to do it on the carpet. I always do it in the bathroom. but... the bathroom is a mess. So I did it there only for the purpose of the video. At least before it would try on the carpet, now it does nothing.

Put a some newsprint underneath the sensors...guarantee it will fix it the issue!

The inspire will not transform on: Grass, carpet or anything that is not smooth or reflects sound.
Try it on a table I am very sure this had nothing to do with the new firmware.

It does the same thing on my bathroom tile floor. I should have mentioned this is not the first time I am trying to put it into travel mode. I learned not to do it on carpet the first day... in the first hr of messing with it. It was on the carpet only for the purpose of the video, does the same thing on tile, the place I always have done travel mode. It worked fine right before the firmware, now it wont transform properly. Im a little nervous to fly it now. also... as I mentioned, I should not be able to put the arms up while sitting on the ground like it does.

the app should not matter, I do not even have the iPhone connected. Its RC to I1. But I even tried to enter travel mode from the app, does the same thing.

Getting frustrated... It will not accept the update at all. tried many times. Any thoughts?

It's been a while but I had this happen to me with the original firmware. I had just finished a session and had brought everything inside to pack up (it was cold outside). It wouldn't go into travel mode after many attempts. I had it on a coffee table. I ended up powering everything down, pulling the battery out of the inspire, closing the pilot app and rebooting my ipad. Had a cup of coffee, powered everything up and it worked as normal. Don't know if one or a combo of those things did it.

At this point, I have cycled batts about 6-7 times. tired with RC / iPhone 10+ times and now tried to install the firmware on the bird 5 times with no success since the first firmware install. Im getting super frustrated, never had an issue with my I1 till now. And now.... I will have a hard time sleeping knowing there is a problem. :@

Have you tried using the option in your software?  Rather than the remote?

Could you pls show me the upgrade log file? I need to make sure whether the upgrade is successful or not. Ths.

That's it. I review\ delete after every try, get the same message every time. Is there more that should be there?

other then putting the sd card in the camera and powering the I1, how do re-upgrade. When I do that, it sits for about 5 seconds then just give a never ending sold beep.

This upgrade procedure needs improvement!
I wonder why DJI has decided that this procedure is better than the one used to upgrade Phantoms.

Module not detected. Might caused by a poor connection. You've tried it for many times, did you try power off the battery, detach and assemble the camera, then reboot Inspire1 to try again? If still failed, you need to contact the NA Support to investigate the issue.

thank you, would you be able to tell what modules is not detected? It has been flying fine with no issues. everything works 100%, until the firmware was installed. I have not flown yet.

and looking at the LOG, it shows it did get the updated on the first run, then it went "device not detected" after. is it possible the firmware "broke" that module?

I need to comfirm.

Vision Positioning System M0 02.00.00.01 NEW

The inspire 1 needs to know the distance from the floor as this is how it knows when to stop. Looks like the firmware is corrupt or it has issues on that chip.
