New drone and new owner.  I finally got the firmware to update, but the app says I have signal loss.  What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Reformat your card and try the update again, then make sure your RC and AC are linked.  I would try this before messing around with anything else.

I was able to contact DJI about this, because I had the same problem as well. They were able to tell me that it was a problem on their part due to the high internet usage from new drone flyers. It should be fixed later on today or sometime tomorrow, from what they explained to me.

I believe that is another problem you did talk with DJI about, possibly problem with login in app.
Issue from OP is another thing and has nothing with DJI's servers to do but more likely something in the latest updates seem to have reduced range for many users.

Tell us the colors of the lights on the phantom. What color is on the arms of the drone and what color is the status light on the gimbal base?

Also, I'd suggest to fly in another open place without interference and adjust the antenna to see whether it helps.

I have 3 standard as well, and lately my signal has been very poor, I can't fly over 300' up or more than 300-400 feet away.  In wide open farm land, no interference.  This was not an issue when I first got it a few months ago but the last month or so it has been very annoying.  I'm not sure what to try to do.

Mine is doing the same as of the last week or so i get 50m range and 30 m high then signal lost rth kicks in. My p3s is only about 3months old and has been well looked after was getting over a klm range until last week. Everything has been taken  into account taken it out in the middle of nowhere etc and still have same issue.

Log out the dji app acc on the phone u use as ur rc handset...log in again *make sure u r internet connected.. After that try again...on that phoone after u have sucessfully login... Pls set to airplane mode..but wifi must be on to connect

I just got out to 700 feet last week before I lost visual so I threw it in reverse and back she came! And this was in a location where I had previously been losing signal I believe was due to interference.

Trying a new very open location today. Hopefully this will restore some confidence

Red in the front and flashing yellow in the back.

Are you able to move the camera with the gimbal wheel on the remote?

Yes it fully functions but as i fly out it gets about 50m then it starts and stops a few times then signal lost shows up on the screeen.

Dji can you please enlighten us on whats the matter with our drones

do a relink of RC and AC...try after that... have to step by step to see whats wrong...

Mine flashes green 4 times red twice any ideas?

Done that no joy
