Happy to report that the DJI Spark does wonderful in low temps. It was -10 but felt much colder yesterday here in Minnesota and besides a few minutes less of flight time, it flew with no problems what so ever. I even set a new personal record for my furtherst distance from starting point. Over 5000 feet, but not quite a mile. It was a good day. Here's some video.

Very nice video!  Question though, did you get a warning about the battery being cold?  I flew yesterday in my area, which was about +14 degrees and had a warning about the low battery temps.  My spark had been in my car for about half hour or so before the flight.

The batteries went straight from the house, to my pockets, to the drone. If you keep them warm before starting the Spark you will not get those warnings. But don't put the extras in the case and let it sit on the ground. Keep them next to your body or somewhere to keep them warm.

Nice footage, great white landscape, I guess as long as it's only cold and no moist in the air the drone should do just fine if you take care of your batteries.

Went out again today, aside from the constant weak signal warning and disconnect (OTG no longer working) I got some good video until the cold battery warning about 8 min in.  I really don’t expect anything more it is super cold out!

its been in the negatives here for about 2 weeks, besides yesterday I've had my drone outside only twice for a couple min each flight, mostly annoying the cats and kids flying it indoors. Got 4 batteries and can't wait until the weather gets a little warmer so I can actually get some flying time in, my max height is 200 ish ft and 1000 feet in distance before my hands become useless. I grabbed an otg cable in hopes of one day we'll not have to jump through loops to use it.

I was getting about the same time from batteries. About 8 minutes

Great shots and way to show that it can be done... Flew mine for the past 2 days in central PA in 7 degrees and 9 degrees fahrenheit and winds making it -2!
Had no issues what so ever, once again fantastic footage.

what's the motor obstructed warning? that doesn't seem to be something I'd be too excited to see lol

I was wearing leather gloves and my finger was accidentally in the way of the motor when I started it. It was so cold out I didn't want to take off the give to clear the error so I just ignored it.

Interesting. I’m in Winona, MN as well and thought about flying but opted not to. Curious though, anyone else notice the blades visibile in the first video? Why is that??

I believe I was flying into the wind, I had it on Sport mode, so it was really pushing itself. When it does this it goes from horizontal to an angle, with it's butt in the air and it's nose down. I don't prefer this look and even small movements are emphasized in Sport mode, but sometimes you just want to cover a lot of distance.

The Spark cut my palm this summer and I bled like crazy. This time I just didn't even notice that my finger was too high and in the way since my gloves were so bulky.

Sweet arrow lake park, Pine Grove, PA did't go above 700 feet, winds were whipping the wind chill down to the negatives > And yet still there were guys out ice fishing on it.

-15 degrees here with -30 degree windchill.  Flies like normal as long as you keep the batteries at room temperature prior to flying.
