Hello inspire users.

I'm wondering you guys notice a difference from shooting 4k then compressing it to 1080, from just shooting in 1080?

All the footage that I have seen where it has been compressed from 4k looks better than the 1080p SOOC

Check with Jimhare, he is the man and can help you more than most.

The biggest advantage of shooting 4K to compress to 1080 is the ability to crop into the image almost 50% without loosing IQ... this is great for adjusting horizon tilt and croping out landing gear if they happen to get in the shot.
