Since more than 1 month I'm reading here and other forums about DJI GO 4 issues with Android 4.4.4
I'm still with my DJI GO 4 not working on my Dell Venue 7 / Android 4.4.4 up-to-date tablet after trying all (cleaning files, reinstall, restoring tablet, running under dev mode, etc).
I'm running the app from my iPhone 6s with not issues at all but I prefer an exclusive device for this.




Is there any step to try before buying another tablet?

Did you try with DJI Go 4 4.1.14? Maybe is time to move to at least to an Ipad mini 2

It couldn't to root this Dell device nor doing a downgrade with the sdb command at all (too much error messages when connecting through USB)

can you describe what is not working exacly ? DJI GO 4 doesnt start, doesnt connect or what else ?!

You dont need to root, just download the old APK file version and enable 'Allow installation of unknown apps' at security settings.

The start screen is displayed a few seconds and then it goes to the background.
The app remains open but I can not access it.
It is as if the app broke after the start screen, when wanting to load the interface where you can connect to your AC / RC...

I have 2 apk files in my microSD card:

4.1.14 1027326 minAPI19 (armeabi-v7a) (nodpi)
4.1.14 2025428 minAPI19 (armeabi-v7a) (nodpi)

It seems that is the same version but diferent release

I will try to install one of these and I will let you know

Version 4.1.14 not working on my Android 4.4.4 (the app stopped working).
Version 4.1.0 is working but there is a problem with user login (there is not network connection).
I believe yesterday was a bad day to connect to DJI servers. I will try today at night...

i think your issues are just setting the dell tablet. Any tablet will do. Try to understand the developer mode fields to be enabled while using the DJI GO4 app

I was checking the Dev section but nothing to change related to apps or security.
But can be my fault since I'm not an experienced Android user...

can also be a RAM issue.  Please check the available  RAM on the tablet must be at least 2 GB

Oh! Then that's my problem!
It's a Dell Venue 7 3740 with only 1GB ...

There are suggestions made by others here regarding Android.  I also use a Motorola Play with Android 7.1.1.  Read some suggestions here: https://forum.dji.com/thread-129237-1-1.html

I couldn't fix DGI GO 4.
I was checking the version and I just could see that  4.1.0 is the last version that is opening OK, but always getting a connection error when trying to login (then, not working). Version 4.1.10 and up, not opening.
Version 4.0.0 is not including my Spark, just other AC...

Yes, I could see that uninstalling and reinstalling the app could fix that problem but not in my case.
It did not fix the connection problem after several reinstall attempts (reinstall over app, uninstall and reinstall, uninstall, delete all the files related, restart the tablet and install, etc).
It seems there is another issue...
