I am changing this to the "continous" mode ... But every time i turn the bird on again it has gone back to the "reset" option ... (using an iPad)

I am using both iPhone 5 and iPad air1

Did you shut the bird down in normal way？ Usually you can save it unless you pull out the battery directly to shut it down.
I'll check it with my colleague again.

+1 here.  Same problem on an IOS device.  

Can confirm - the setting does not stick!
Time for a new iOS app version with some bug fixes DJI!

I always use the "normal shutdown" method ... Press once then press and hold.

Have tried to change the setting about 3 or 4 times now ... On both devices without getting it to "stick".

Try change another camera setting. Change the shooting mode to S or M mode from P mode, shut the bird off, restart, will it automatic switch to P mode?

As long as the app is running I can turn the I1 off and on ... And it remembers the setting ...

How ever if I leave the I1 running and turning app on and off it wont remember the setting ... It returns to "reset".

I tried changing the ISO and shutter settings and restarted the app ... And they remained the same.

Now I understand. If issue just happend when turn on and turn off the app, R&D already know the issue. Will be optimized later.

Actually ... It seams as if the setting sticks ... Because the filenames is now in fact "continous" only the setting looks like it is still on reset ...

I've had the same problem since I first got my P3P in January.  I have always used the latest firmware, and I'm now using 1.70060, the most up-to-date.  I still have the problem.  "Continuous" doesn't stick.  It reverts to "Reset."
