So I just booted up my drone and controller and when it connected it asked me to link my phone number but I can only use mainland China phone numbers. I live in the US and was connected to a local WiFi when I did it. Any suggestions on what to do?

Yeah, do it again with the airtcraft outdoors. It cannot get GPS reception indoors and therefore does not know where you are.

My RC has a screen built in. Is there a way to check location services on there?

No idea I am afraid. But it seems some DJI servers are not connecting at present, that may be the problem.

Had same issue and had to reset the factory settings (at direction of DJI tech support).
I'm still having the connect issues. Hope it is the DJI servers.

HI, could you please connect the RC to a hotspot, then put your drone in a wide place with very good GPS signal. then power on RC, Drone, and then the App, see if it helps?
