I had a few wifi issues, but firing up DJI Assistant 2 and restoring factory defaults on the Spark fixed these. I was then able to select a 2.4GHz channel within the Go 4 app, and after a wifi restart it showed 2.4GHz at the top - yeehaa! I seems to be "sticky" too, but time will tell I guess.
One of the reasons I decided to get a cellular version of the iPad Mini 2 is that I wanted to be sure that the red triangle compass orientation in the Go 4 app would be correct - i.e. that it would point straight ahead when the spark is going directly away from the controller. I assumed (rightly or wrongly!) that this would require GPS in the iPad, and therefore I needed the cellular version. Either way, it works, so that's all good too.
I then went to the Apple App Store to find the iOS equivalent to the excellent Android Wifi Analyzer app, as this won't currently work as my Android devices can't of course see a 5.8GHz network. However, I then discovered that although I now have a device that supports 5.8GHz, there are no such apps available because you need to jailbreak the iPad in order to access this info. I'm not about to enter that minefield, but it would have been a "nice to have"!
