I have a Spark.  I recenly tried to connect it up with my computer (iMac) using Assistant 1.2.0  It does show my drone as connecting to the actual app.  But When I try Data Upload, it asks me to confirm and when I do, it will just sit there like its trying to download/upload something.  But I can come back 10 minutes later and nothing.  Same thing for BlackBox.  So this program is pretty much useless.  I would LOVE to be able to view my flight data and info...

I have this same issue with DJI Assistant 2 V1.16

I had that issue. I uninstalled then reinstalled it again and it works perfectly now (on my MacBook).

As windows might be blocking the loading of drivers, try disabling "driver signature verification" , option 2 is the easiest.

Apparently DJI was too lazy to have it's drivers verified by Microsoft

I am using a Mac.  So windows drivers are not the issue.  Also, As far as I can tell, I AM downloading the app from the DJI website.  Maybe DJI could provide the proper link just to be sure.  Its not the easiest link to find on their site...

Update:
I created a Windows 7 VM Fusion virtual machine on my iMac. Assistant 2 V1.1.6 works as designed on that VM. Still no luck with the MAC version. . . .

Elektra, I have the same issues. the Assistant recognizes my Spark, but it cannot access either the Blackbox or Data Upload. All I get is the spinning wheel. I have uninstalled and reinstalled (downloaded direct from DJI) but no joy.
I am running Mac OS 10.13.2. Thanks for your help!

Has there been any update on this issue? I am in the same situation. I have tried on 2 different Mac computers and get the spinning loading icon forever too. This needs to be fixed asap and there is no way to download Flight Data if something ever went wrong...

Thanks for the response. I’m on vacation in the Bahamas (without my spark). I don’t think your beta version will work with my Mac computers - it appears to be a Windows “.exe” file. Before I left I was able to download flight information from my Spark using the procedure described here:Data Extract This bypasses the DJI Assistant Tool completely but you still have to use it for FW refreshes.

Sorry for the trouble it brings. Please try to install the beta of DJI Assistant 2, which is a Windows' version. Please provide us feedback and I would forward it to our engineers for further check.  

Sorry, am I missing something? Not sure how a Beta version for Windows will help determine the issue for Mac.
I would be happy to try a Beta for Mac if you can provide one.

Did you try the iTunes method? (the “Data Extract” link in Msg #15)

DJI is a fantastic company for drones, but as regards software it leaves a lot to be desired.
Another example: sync of my flights with my electronic devices. It syncs 60-70% of them between my Iphone SE, Ipad Air and Nexus 7.
I think it is time to spend more resources on software.
PS: I tried Data Extract with iTunes but I get .txt files like 1uyt$%&&*aksjhd..... How am I supposed to read them?
