Is their anyone running this combination of the iPhone 8 and a Phantom 4 ? Thinking about upgrading my 6 plus to this today but sometimes I use my phone to fly. Actually it has a brighter display than my iPad Air but yes, smaller. Thanks for any input here, don’t want to spend the money and find out the 8 plus won’t work.  

Yes, it works. After I purchased a P4P+, I ordered a non plus controller so I could use my iPhone 8 Plus. I’ve used it several times and it works great. (Not near as easy to see in daylight as the Pro+ display though)

This setup along with new firmware on the Phantom 4 and it was a pleasure to fly. Easier to see the iPhone 8 Plus than it was to see the big iPad Air. Smooth video and good signal strength the whole flight. We’re good to go in Arizona !

Check your version of iOS right now. if it's 11.2.5, read this thread. There's a compatibility issue DJI is working on.

Happy for you getting your iPhone 8 Plus. I've had it for a couple months and I love it.

Running the latest OS no issue. But I also do not have the hdmi module remote which seems to be where the issue is.

As other have said 11.2.5 has issues. I have HDMI module and can confirm it will not connect to AC as of this time. Android tablet is fine. tried another IOS devise running 11.2.2 and it also had intermittent connection issues.
