Adriano, sorry to tell you that mavic air does not support this feature now. If there is any news about it, we will update in release note.

You might remember we hadn’t got it originally on spark, but it came shortly after release so hopefully soon.

It’s been on since 3rd firmware update, it’s really useful for active trackers.

Yes  , it is really usefull.
Activetrack without Dynamic Home Point  seems strange to me,
I hope that dji will make the effort to put it in a next firmware. ;)

It should be better than using a homepoint, but if boat is continually moving it will still be tricky, also remember if it goes to critical battery it will just land, I have a boat and have flown always bring back on 50% battery always set loss of signal to hover RTH to dynamic and keep aircraft close. Good luck.

Why would you not consider using the controller as the RTH point, other than a static point on the ground? That way, the aircraft should travel to wherever the controller is.

Because the aircraft will travel to wherever the controller was at the moment you reset the home point to 'current location.'
It doesn't update the homepoint when the controller is on the move

All that would need from software engineers is a code line in the RTH which tells the aircraft to seek out the controller based on where the signals are emanating.

I believe the mavic air does have this feature. It recognizes home as the phones location. You need good GPS signal on the phone and good cel coverage. I don’t have my app runnng, but if someone does not beat me to it, I will upload a picture of this. Assuming I’m correct.

Dynamic home point and APAS should be default for any active tracking. As well as RTH at current altitude because if you have been tracking through woods and it decides to climb to a higher RTH altitude there's the possibility of a collision with treetops. Having the HP update every 15m means if for any reason it RTH then it's going to be close by.

I'm hoping its going to be included in the next FW update. We haven't had one for a while. My hope is this is because they are adding dynamic home point and waypoint mode and testing it all thoroughly before releasing it. Fingers crossed its soon. I really want to start using my Air like i use my Spark and M-Pro.

In that case, you'd have a ton of problems with waves reflecting in buildings, water, etc. and drones crashing by themselves sometimes.

I heard it was included in the Litchi app upgrade for the Mavic Air.  I will have to take another look.

Any new regarding Dynamic Home Point for the MA?

tbh, i think our best solution is to write a script that will work in the background and press "set current mobile location as home point" each time distance from HP is more than given number.
Im not an Android Programmer but i think it shoulndt be that hard to write a short code that reads distance from DJI app and then uses that function after given conditions are met.

Anyone can or knows someone who could do this?

That’s a bad joke. Nearly a year after the MA has been released no information.

Make a clear statement! And not “if it is supported, we will inform you”. That’s bull**t.

Why is the Spark supporting this feature and the Mavic Air not? That’s just stupid.

DJI, if u do not hurry up to offer these features, u will loose customer base in yr future products as yr competitors are picking up strongly !

I am totally in for this feature too.
Last Time I was doing an active track with my MotorCycle,
I heard the Battery Low Level Bip.
The time I stop the MotorCycle and look at the Sky, my 600$ Mavic air was already on the way back home
Disapointing...

DJI's refusal to add this feature to the MA is the primary reason that I will not ever buy another DJI product.  They do not listen to their customers and the mods on this official DJI site simply placate us by saying they will forward the ideas to the development team after which nothing ever gets implemented.  Dynamic Homepoint is supported via Litchi and you would think that it would be an easy fix to turn it on in DJI GO, but they have clearly moved on to other products.  There's plenty of other options out there now other than DJI... companies that are hungrier, and that's who will be getting my dollars in the future.

Still no DHP :-( | Have to use my Spark when I need it. :-(((
