I have a new Inspire 2 with the X5S camera.  In going forward in P mode it rocks forward and back.  Aside from this being wrong it also makes the flight slow.  Side note, the gimbal works well even so.  It is as if it is in oscillation, in other words, that the control loop can't settle down.  Like it over powers and then over compensates.  In S mode this problem does not occur.  I took a quick cell phone video showing the rocking.  Any ideas?

Have you did a IMU calibration? I would reinstall the firmware, reset back to factory settings, do a fresh IMU and compass calibration.

Thanks Epicjib, I'm on a trip and don't have the usb to usb cable I need to update aircraft firmware via computer.  I tried used go 4 ap but I didn't see how to reinstall firmware that method.  I'll have to do this tomorrow evening when I return.

Definitely recalibrate your IMU and Compass

to refresh your FW version using the DJI Go 4 App please use this video as a guide. You do not need to downgrade as the video shows, just pick the FW version you are currently on and it will refresh the same version.  before hitting the start button for refreshing, connect your inspire 2 to your device. Make sure your batteries are charged %100 before starting

Epicjib and RichJ53, thanks much for your help.  That did it.  I downloaded new FW, did an IMU cal and a Compass cal and it worked great.  Note to anyone who does this, I found I had to power down both aircraft and remote control and then repower.  Instructions probably said this but I learned the hard way when it flew out but wouldn't turn around.  RTH brought it back.  Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Great....  I am glad you got it back up and running correctly.  Yes, anytime you finish FW updates on the aircraft, they need to be restarted.

Have fun on your trip and maybe you can share some of your video or photos with us when you return
