Taking my Mavic Air our for a first flight and I kept hitting a max distance of 485m. I’ve logged in and out of the app and am logged in while flying. What am I missing?

15 meters I would say. At 5.8GHz it's advertised 500m max for CE flying rules.

You need to change the "max distance" setting in the DJI GO app. By default it is at 500 meters.

I have that disabled already. Is there another setting somewhere?

I enabled it and there was no entry box for a custom max distance.

Sean, just to verify, the app says max distance reached instead of max altitude reached, right? If so, please check the max distance is enabled when the drone, RC and app are connected. If the issue persists, please provide me with the message that you got and the general location that you are flying in. Thank you.

After loading the latest firmware on my Mavic Pro it defaults to a very short max distance, probably around 30 meters.  I can go to the Go4 app, enable max distance to 4000 meters, and everything is fine as long as I have the iphone plugged in.  But I like to use goggles instead of iphone, and when I disconnect iphone and start a new flight it is back to the short distance.  Anyone know how to permanently change this value?
