I've tried several different setups for mounting my Osmo Pro on a tripod in a way that allows quick detachment and I've finally come up with one that I love and works extremely well... utilizign my Vanguard carbon fiber tripod, a ball head, and a standard plate mout attached to a Manfrotto Super Clamp....

I have found a few ways: using the Universal mount and a Tripod adaptor, using the base plate as an adaptor, and using the flexible arm.

That looks like a  nice setup.
I do have a question.
Why do you use a Osmo on a tripod?
Unless it is for motion timelapses?

There are a lot of times that I mix stationary and moving around video clips in one shoot and prefer to simply take less gear along...

I have an X5 from my Inspire Pro and theorized a setup like this.  I have some questions:

1)  Can you program it to pan automatically on the OSMO?

2)  Any object tracking/follow features?

3) Would you prefer this or an iPhone X + Osmo Mobile 2?

This is a totally mechanical setup requiring manual adjustment and movement.  This setup is vastly superior to anything using a smartphone for serious video.  Manual focus and interchangeable lenses are a must for my work.

By the way – this thread is about mounting an Osmo Pro on a tripod, the Osmo Mobile 2 has a tripod socket at the bottom, this is much easier for mounting.
