Just got my Mavic air, updated everything full signal etc. Right after take off it flies up above ground and then video transmission and wifi signal totally drops rendering it totallyuncontrollable, nothing

Thank god it didnt fly up further, I had to manually hold it while it was hovering and switch off battery while was at my palm so I dont know if this dammages the drone etc but I had no choice as it would have just sit there otherwise and fallen down as battery dies and I was afraid the extremely buggy software might make it randomly fly off. Omfg DJI, these drones are crap.

Were you using RC mode or WIFI mode?

Seems like the signal was jammed. It should have landed after a few seconds. Could you upload the flight log for analysis?

I was having the same issue. I called support and they suggested I reset factory defaults on the RC which I did. The very next flight I lost all connectivity and my Mavic flew itself into a tree.
