Why some people have an urge to do such a stupid things is beyond my comprehension....

Some people just need attention.  Hopefully the FAA takes this seriously.  Like someone flying their cessna over approaching aircraft, and filming it, needing to be dealt with separate from the flying community as a whole.

OMG! This guy's an even bigger jerk than the one who was arrested in Israel this past summer for flying his drone in a no fly zone next to the airport in Tel Aviv. That Yutz was arrested and dealt with. Hopefully this idiot in Vegas will get caught as well.

Sure, it is "only" general aviation, thus the aircraft skin is thinner than on a commercial jets. But drone flying into an engine intake would most likely result in engine failure and millions of $ in repairs.
