I need to be able to export the flight data from the iOSD Mk II to MATLAB or other equivalent program.  How can I export a data file from Data Viewer to .CSV or other readable form?

Thanks,

Hi - What flight controller are you using with the iOSD Mii? The dataset is controller dependent.

I'm using the A2 flight controller.  Can you help me understand the format of the .DAT file?

I've noticed that the .DAT file is about 4 times greater in size than the equivalent flat binary file that would contain the same amount of data.  I can't find recognizable package delimiters (yet).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Looks like I've been off line too long, sorry about that.
I do not know the format. The is a fellow  here who cracked it for the NAZA FC and wrote a pretty neat KML extractor. He has a number of other threads on the forum about the NAZA data set, but as he has no A2, he can't really help.
Cheers,

No worries, I've been busy lately too...

Thanks for the links.  I've checked them out and so far it seems no one has cracked the A2 / iOSD Mk II combination.  I'll keep looking...  Thanks!

Ed,
I updated to the 3.02 iODD FW and it isn't good - the FLY files are no longer meaningful, loss of the x axis as far as I can tell.
So, if you are below 3.02, I'd recommend staying there to avoid data loss.
I only use it for diagnostics when I need to see compass data, which is important enough to make me wish I'd not updated.
Keep smiling,

Thanks John!  I will remain at 3.01 until they've fixed the problems with 3.02.

Hi,
Could you confirm me FLY files are not usable since the upgrade to 3.02?
Thanks for your answer.
