Hi all,

I collected my Phantom 4 Pro today, love it.

Quick question, can I use my DJI Goggles and iPad at the same time just like I do with my Mavic?

I have both the standard and Plus controllers. I can use the Goggles with the Plus controller, but haven't found a way to connect both the Goggles and mobile device with the standard RC.

Except if you change the standard USB card of your RC with an HDMI card which also includes 2 USB ports (Normal and Mini).
I'm waiting for my card tomorrow !!!!

I read many horror stories about that HDMI card. Please let us know how you make out with it. I've seen some recent posts saying there's a trick to getting it to work. Search HDMI and read up. I'm really interested in how it works out.

Yes, I’d really like to add this upgrade to my non + controller. But I’m nervous as heck it won’t work.

I installed the HDMI card in the RC of my P4P and everything works perfectly: iPad on USB port and Goggles on HDMI port.
I did not encounter any functional problems.
The only small problem is that the HDMI card connector is a mini HDMI and the cable connector of the goggles is an HDMI. I had to buy an HDMI-mini HDMI adapter.

Did you just swap it out like I saw on a YouTube - couple screws and two ribbon cables - or did you have to do anything else to get it to work?

Quick update.

HDMI Module ordered, it'll be with me tomorrow. Hopefully the installation and firmware update should go fine

Problems...

Installed the HDMI Module today, installation went perfectly along with the firmware update apart from the following.
When I plug in any HDMI device (hoping to use DJI Goggles) the Go 4 app disconnects and no video is shown via HDMI or Go 4 using full size USB port to the iPad.

If I unplug the HDMI port Go 4 returns to normal.

I have looked around online and people recommend deleting the video cache but nothing has worked.

I’ve been looking for confirmation that this was a work around that got the module working. Thank you. I’m placing an order as soon as I can get some time away from work. The storms here caused havoc, and I’ve been at work 16 hour days since Friday. Thank you for the information. I’ll look for your thread, and post my experience when I get this done. Thanks also to mecanique62 2 for the original find.

Hey Guys, if you want to mirror your screen from tablet/phone to DJI googles without disconnecting your P4P from tablet/phone. You must update firmware of your P4P, and DJI googles to the latest version through DJI Assistant 2. After firmware upgrade, connect your phone/tablet to remote controller via USB and your goggles via HDMI (for upgraded HDMI module). Look and follow the GO4 app screen below by ticking (follow below).
