I'm looking at my flight logs and I'm a bit confused, especially with the altitude numbers. On the 'summary' screen, it lists the top altitude as 246.0 feet. On the screen with all the flight logs, you can see a lot of flights that over over 246 feet.

Why the discrepancy?

Top altitude is misleading. It stand for take off altitude. The highest take of point has been  246.0ft.

Yeah, thanks for clearing that up. I had a near 350 ft altitude which seemed to put me close to air traffic. I was on a hill...

Was the Home Point set on the ground or in air?
If the drone don't get time to set homepoint before takeoff this happen.
Upload  your flight log to Phantomhelp and post back the link. It will tell if this is the case or if something is wrong.

It just take some time to get the homepoint .
It is worth waiting for it. We have seen few  so called fly away do to not waiting few seconds more.
