I bought a dji spark on december, all updates, I can no fly vía wifi, as they promissed 2miles, this piece  of s*** dissconected, every time, vía wifi, try with mavic air, i fly 200mts, and said, no connection, no clouds, I live  in a tropical city, why you do not put that cable otg, I think on dji, they have not finished inventing spark, I am very sad, dissapointed, every time they release  an  update  hope it is going to be fix it, but nooo, do you know what  people  like me  do to buy a drone, and when you fly its like, you feel you  been robbed.do something!!! Like 10 month and you do not fix it!!!

Yes, the  combo, maxximun distance  was 600mts, on january before update

Yes really,  i think there is a lot of people  like me

see actually the SPARK does work with greater than 3000 meter distances . The configuration is a mix of a mode and disabling things like the internet and bluetooth while flying. DJI does not want to improve the SPARK as it will affect the sales for their new DJI MAVIC AIR which also runs on WiFi .  Hope you get my point )

You have to be in either one as far as your drone concerns.
And judging by your range, DJI might have set it to CE standards.

Thanks for  the answer, i Will try, but it is very scared, and  i am affraid to lose it, because  signal  is not stable, all  time said disconected, i don't know if that happen  with other dji products

You can't change it yourself.
It is in the DJI database.

Are you in an area with a lot of wifi interference?
Lots of buildings etc?
Metal objects etc?

Here  there is nothing, like sky and sand, some  mountains, what I mean I am going to try is take it to maximum  Long distance, don't care  it said no signal

From what I have read here I understand 200m is about the max for CE area.
FCC is much better.
What band are you on?
2.4 or 5.8 Ghz (the first one has better range, the second one less interference issues)

Maybe try 2.4 Ghz.
That should have better range.

Go to an open field with very little houses, with stock rc you will get around 2000 meters of range. and why do u want more range anyways?

I disagree with op. I say buy it.

Sorry to hear about your issues. The spark can be temperamental at times but once you get it dialed in you won’t want to get rid of it.

Sorry to hear that.my self had lots of disconnect issues. I just downloaded dji go 4.1.14 otg cable is working great with that apk . im using lg stylo 3 plus. I have no more issues . i will stay with this version till they bring back otg on the new software

I recommended to use Hack app... Unlock all Mavic Pro modes and switch link to FCC standards.. It is only way for use Spark, without this app Spark is rubbish.. For detail send me PM...

Yes I agree with that. Spark with waypoints is fantastic. I can understand why DJI might be unwilling to support it officially because some people will fly it at distances up to 2 miles which could cause problems and give them a bad name.

Hi, there. Did you try to change an environment to fly your drone? Please wifi setting and check if most of the channels are green. Please turn off the bluetooth devices around your spark. What is the model of your device? Please try to fly with another one.

I get over a kilometre all the time lol

In Australia.  I have flown over 1.2KM no issues.  I regularly fly 500m+ easily.
I use OTG and iPhone

I absolutely love the Spark, even in the crowded city I get 2000+ feet with no problems. Having some of the other features would be nice, like the waypoint flying and active tracking the controller, but it's still a great entry level drone.

Get and iPhone and your disconnection problem will be solved.

I am not able to take picturea from my spark. I have tried several times, I have tried pressing the button on my phone and also the button on the remote controller but do not work. Is this because I dont have a sd card or should I be able to take pictures without one?
