Hi ya I have not got my Mavic yet just need some advice ...I want to control it with my iphone5 or iPad Air 2 .....is that possible...I want to get a Mavic Air so help and advice would be much appropriated ....Thanks

iPhone 5 too old and slow. iPad Air 2 would be great with a separate mount. Would be heavy though.

Hi Malcolm, like Jeff7577 mentioned above, iPhone 5 might not compatible with DJI GO 4 but iPad Air 2 is the supported device and can run with DJI GO 4. Both Mavic Pro and Mavic Air support WiFi mode. which means you can control the drone directly by the mobile device.
